I was at a meeting of the Nor’easters Metal Detecting Club last night, and one of the members mentioned my review about Dick Stouts new book, “In search of treasure”. He wanted to know, Did I actually read the book before writing the review? I assured him that I had, and that it was a good read.
Dick and I may joke around about the “check being in the mail” whenever we compliment the other, but it’s all in good fun.
So, to clarify…I did read the book, and I did like the book, and I think you should read it too!

Damn, this is getting expensive…
…but I’m worth it.
Dick informs me that in addition to presenting you with a hefty cheque, he also supplied a press handout for you to use. Now I don’t know who to believe! 🙂
I suppose the handouts are “in the mail” along with the check, as I have yet to receive either. Leave it to Dick to become the marketing guru of the blog-a-sphere.
I hope you reciprocate and question his finds !
Hey Mike-
Thats a great response, but I don’t think his intention was mean spirited. Probably a result of me comparing “In Search of Treasure” to “Fifty Shades of Grey”, and of course the generouse kickbacks I get from promoting the book for Dick 🙂
Trust me, I wish I had written “Fifty Shades of Grey”….
No Ricardo, you wish you were in Fifty Shades!
Ha ha ha ha !! Oh the humor always kills me. Too funny!
Well at least YOU recognize writing talent when you read it without being nit-picky, or bitchy even!
I tell it like I see it, but I’m sure there are a few men I know who would argue with you about me being bitchy 🙂
